We are working on the precision measurement of the electric dipole moment of the electron (eEDM) exploiting the heavy polar diatomic molecules such as PbF and HgF, in order to search for new physics beyond the Standard Model including the violation of the time-reversal symmetry, the origin of dark matter and dark energy as well as the matter-antimatter imbalance. We also pioneer the first incorporation of synchrotron vacuum ultraviolet photoionization reflectron time-of-flight mass spectrometry in laboratory astrophysics simulation experiments, to unveil the predictive nature of astrochemical models of complex organic molecules formed abiotically in deep space including biorelevant species connected to the Origins-of-Life theme.
